I was fortunate enough to be raised in rural Texas surrounded by wild open landscapes and huge dramatic skies. This instilled in me an appreciation for the beauty in simplicity and stillness. Both Shale and Like My Father Before Me are a tribute to my first home; Bluebird is another example of this. It was a real labor of love having been written, directed, shot and edited by myself. Making this film led me to the National Film and Television School where I received a Masters in Cinematography in 2019.
